Theta Shortfilm Festival in Italy:
Best International Shortfilm

Flechtwerk (2021) – a thriller-science-fiction short film where I worked closely with director Philipp Hofmänner as the Director of Cinematography. I joined the project relatively spontaneously after Philipp had already put a lot of effort into pre-production.

On set, we had an extremely small team—just six or seven people, including the two actors. This created a very intimate and focused atmosphere, but it also meant that I handled the entire camera and technical department on my own, without a camera assistant.

We shot intensively for a week, followed by four additional days of reshoots due to COVID. Despite the challenges, the atmosphere on set was fantastic—a well-coordinated, highly motivated team working with passion on this film.

By now, Flechtwerk has won the Best International Short Film Award at the TETA Short Film Festival in Italy and is playing at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in Hollywood 2025.

This project remains a valuable experience for me, showing how much can be achieved with a small crew and limited resources when the vision is strong.

A huge thank you again to Philipp Hofmänner and Simon Planzer for giving me the opportunity to be part of this project.
